Promoting your business at McGill University’s McConnell Arena is a tremendous opportunity to connect

McGill University’s McConnell Arena was first founded in 1956 and beautifully refurbished and
renovated in 2004, and has a capacity of 1,600 general admission spectators plus box suite and loges. It
is the home of the McGill Redmen and McGill Martlets hockey teams. Throughout the year, the
McConnell Arena also hosts Intramurals hockey leagues, figure skating sessions, hockey classes and
external ice rentals.
This year, we are pleased to offer you the opportunity to promote your organization with arena boards
advertising. You will be able to display your logo and information to all ice users. For an annual fee, we
will provide a 3’x12’ rink board advertisement, starting at $2,000 plus tax for your first year and yearly
renewal discount from 15% to 25%.

Dasher Boards, the special advertising panels in NHL and other arenas, are one of the most popular forms of in-arena advertising today.
These panels are a prime way to create positive advertising impressions to a wide spectrum of ice
skaters, hockey players, and spectators. Positioning advertisements will be assigned on a first-come,
first-served basis.
Arena Board advertisement will:
Be flush mounted by professionals.
Be positioned at ice level in direct view of spectators, teams, and all other facility users.
Will have a clean and appealing appearance.

Relatively inexpensive form of advertising to increase customer base.
Exposure time ranging from 20 to 120 minutes, compared to several seconds for an outdoor billboard or magazine advertisement.
